Our Mission

KCD serves the lonely and underserved of Hendricks County by strengthening mental health through compassionate connection and the healing presence of excellence‑trained therapy dogs.

KCD Founder

Sandy Nogle’s calling is simple: to bring comfort, connection, and God’s love to people through the gentle presence of trained comfort dogs. Her journey in therapy dog work began in 2005, and through loss, healing, and countless moments of grace, God planted within her the vision that eventually became Kingdom Comfort Dogs.

Inspired by the parable of the mustard seed, Kingdom Comfort Dogs has started from small beginnings—rooted in the love and legacy of Mabel, a golden retriever whose life of service touched thousands. Today, Sandy carries that legacy forward by training comfort‑dog teams who step into moments of loneliness, grief, stress, or crisis, offering hope where it is needed most.

Sandy believes deeply in the healing power of presence. Whether through a calm dog leaning gently against someone’s leg or a shared quiet moment in the middle of chaos, she knows that comfort can take root—and sometimes even change a life.
