Sandy Nogle is a recognized leader in therapy dog work, with more than 20 years of experience building connections between people and the healing presence of trained dogs. Her passion for serving others through animal-assisted support began in 2005 and has grown into a lifelong commitment to developing programs, mentoring teams, and creating meaningful opportunities for connection within the community.

A visionary leader and advocate for therapy dog work, Sandy launched a pet therapy program at Indiana University in 2021 that quickly became a valued source of support for students, faculty, and staff. She has also contributed her leadership and expertise as a member of the Board of Directors for One Pet at a Time, Inc., helping advance the organization's mission and strengthen the impact of therapy dog services throughout Indiana.

Sandy is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator and has completed NOVA Critical Incident Stress and Disaster Response training, equipping her to support individuals and communities during times of crisis, grief, trauma, and recovery. Her experience in both volunteer leadership and crisis response has reinforced her belief that genuine human connection is often one of the most powerful tools for healing.

Inspired by the extraordinary legacy of Mabel, a golden retriever whose life of service touched thousands, Sandy founded Kingdom Comfort Dogs to expand access to high-quality comfort dog services and to equip new teams to serve with excellence. Under her leadership, Kingdom Comfort Dogs focuses on creating connections that reduce loneliness, foster emotional well-being, and bring comfort to people facing stress, illness, loss, and life's most difficult challenges.

At the heart of Sandy's work is a deep belief that connection changes lives. In a world where many people feel isolated or unseen, she views comfort dogs as catalysts for meaningful relationships—creating moments that open doors to conversation, encouragement, healing, and hope. Whether through a therapy dog visit, a supportive presence during a crisis, or a simple interaction that reminds someone they matter, Sandy is committed to building bridges between people and strengthening communities through compassion, connection, and care.

Sandy resides in Indiana with her husband, son, and two golden retrievers. Her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson live nearby and remain an important part of her life. Family is Sandy’s first priority, and her dedication to therapy dog work is a close second. She is grateful for every opportunity to bring people together, strengthen communities, and foster connections that leave lasting impacts on individuals and families alike.
