Our Mission
Kingdom Comfort Dogs is dedicated to creating meaningful human connections through the gentle presence of expertly trained comfort dogs. Our mission is simple: bring emotional support, compassion, and “smile therapy” to those who feel isolated, overwhelmed, or in need of a moment of peace.
Founded by Sandy Nogle, whose therapy dog journey began in 2005, Kingdom Comfort Dogs is built on decades of experience in hospitals, universities, crisis response, senior communities, memory care, churches, and more. The impact of a dog’s quiet companionship has changed countless lives — and we want to bring that healing presence even closer to home in Hendricks County.
Our beloved Mabel helped launch this mission in 2025, and her legacy continues to guide our work today. With multiple dogs now in training and serving, our reach is growing — and we are actively seeking volunteers and their friendly, well‑mannered dogs to join our comfort dog team.
Whether you’re new to therapy dog work or already certified, we welcome:
Dog/handler teams
Volunteers who want to help with events
Community members passionate about supporting emotional wellness
Families who want to serve together
If you have a heart for people, a love for dogs, and a desire to make a difference one gentle moment at a time, we would love to meet you.
Come be part of a mission that brings comfort, connection, and hope — one paw at a time.
