God Will Send a Moses (Part 1 of 4)

In 2025, something began to shift—quietly at first, then unmistakably. I started putting real movement behind Kingdom Comfort Dogs. Not just ideas floating in my head, but pen‑to‑paper planning, networking, and getting the dogs out every chance I could. For the first time, I wrote down actual goals for the next two years.

But beneath all that planning, I was walking through a difficult season personally.
A season where joy felt dimmer than usual, where the days felt heavier than I wanted to admit. Kingdom Comfort Dogs didn’t just give me purpose—it gave me hope. It lifted my spirits on the days when motivation was hard to find. It reminded me that God still plants new things even in weary soil.

Looking back, I didn’t realize that this was the beginning of a “Moses story.”

In Scripture, Moses’ purpose began long before he ever led anyone. God was preparing him in the quiet places—long before the burning bush, long before the Red Sea, long before freedom.

That’s exactly what was happening to me.
God was preparing me, too.
Healing me as I planned KCD.
Rooting hope in places grief had touched.

My first goal was to get Mabel re‑certified with Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She passed with her usual brilliance—an “A+++,” as my daughter would’ve said.

Another goal was to find a future puppy—a female, late 2026. I even wrote it under “Prayer Requests” in my planning document.

Little did I know… just like the biblical Moses, the comfort God was preparing didn’t match my expectations. It would come earlier. Different. Divine.

And it would arrive in the middle of heartbreak.

Part 2 coming next Monday.
